# Start Trading on Waves.Exchange (mobile)
Before sending, receiving and trading crypto tokens, educate yourself to make informed decisions. Crypto tokens are volatile, and the prices can go up and down. Carefully evaluate your trading goals and the financial risk you are willing to take. Please beware that Waves.Exchange does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. You should make such decisions on your own or consult with reliable experts.
Install the latest version of Waves.Exchange:
Open the installed app, log in to your account and tap icon.
Type in a name or a token ID in the search box to find available tokens.
Note: Trading smart-tokens is temporary unavailable.
To open Waves.Exchange trading interface tap on a pair from the list.
Note: For additional information about the selected pairs, tap ℹ️ icon next to the pair.
# How to Buy Cryptocurrency
Select a pair to work with and tap BUY.
The following screen will open.
Note: In this example, we use WAVES / BTC pair.
In the Order type field select Market Order or Limit Order.
Note: Market order is a transaction which is meant to be executed as quickly as possible at the existing/market price. Limit order sets the minimum or maximum price at which you are willing to buy or sell. The order gets executed once the price level is triggered.
Fill in the order form:
In the Amount in ---- field, enter the amount of currency you want to buy;
In the Limit Price in ---- field, enter the price of the currency. Note: If you have selected Limit order in the Order type field, you can tap Bid if you want to place buy order, tap Ask if you want to buy from the sell orders or tap Last if you want to buy by the market price;
In the Total in ---- field, check the total amount of the order.
In the Fee field you can select the type of currency to pay the trading fee (Waves, BTC, ETH, TDX).
Note: By default, the Limit price sets with the nearest market price.
After filling in the form, tap Buy ----, where ---- is the currency of the selected pair.
Note: The default maximum order time is 29 days. The expired orders are forcibly canceled. You can change the order time in the Expiration field.
All the placed, executed or cancelled orders can be reviewed in My orders tab.
ℹ️ The trading fee is:
- 0.003 Waves for Asset/Asset pair
The fee will be frozen for the order fee. If the order is not executed and then canceled, the fee be will be unfrozen.
Note: You can cancel an open order by tapping X in My orders tab.
# How to Sell Cryptoсurrency
Select a pair you want to work with and tap SELL.
In the Order type field select Market Order or Limit Order.

In the Amount in ---- field, enter the amount of currency you want to sell or tap Use total balance, 50%, 10% or 5%;
In the Limit Price in ---- field, enter the price of the currency. Note: If you have selected Limit order in the Order type field, you can tap Bid if you want to sell into buy order, tap Ask if you want to place sell order or tap Last if you want to sell by market price;
In the Total in ---- field, check the total amount of the order.
In the Fee field you can select the type of currency to pay the trading fee (Waves, BTC, ETH, TDX).
